A wider professional foundation behind Studio Meraki’s deliberately selective work.
Shweta founded Studio Meraki in 2018 as a more personal practice—one where architecture and interiors are considered as a continuous spatial and emotional experience.
Her approach draws on experience with scale, technical coordination, public responsibility, and the quieter decisions that determine how a building performs in use.
Her practice has also extended into teaching, academic juries, and invited talks on cognitive architecture, psychology in design, passive design, and indoor environmental quality.
Building performance
Singapore · 2013–2014
As a Sustainable Design Consultant with DEG Builders in Singapore, Shweta worked across façade performance, daylight and glare analysis, heat-load calculations, efficient lighting and air-conditioning, and Green Mark documentation. This followed an MSc in Building Performance & Sustainability at the National University of Singapore, where she received the Gold Medal for Best Graduate Student. Together, that analytical training and practice continue to inform Studio Meraki’s attention to light, thermal comfort, material behaviour, and how spaces support people over time.
